Charles Eanes, 72, of Salina, has won $20,000 in the Kansas Lottery’s Bonus Crossword instant scratch game.
Eanes told lottery officials he planned to pay off bills, give some of his winnings to his family and put some money in the bank.
“I’m also going to make donations to Hospice and to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life,” Eanes said.
Eanes is retired from the U.S. Air Force and Raytheon. He is a widower and has three children and four grandchildren.
He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 1727 W. Crawford.
